Finally – a compact mirrorless camera for less – the Sony Alpha a5000

With the influx of mirrorless cameras everywhere, the choices are definitely a lot. You might want to consider the Sony Alpha a5000 though. As one of the pioneers in the industry, Sony has surely made this camera a bang for the buck.

It’s perfect for those who love taking portraits or selfies because it has a screen that you can flip 180 degrees! If you’re a blogger or you just want to up your Instagram game, you’ll find this feature really useful. 🙂

Among its best features is its Bionz-X processor. This processor is also what’s in Sony Alpha a7 – Sony’s more expensive and more sought-after camera. This makes the colors of the photos truer to life in color. It also better noise-reduction and high-speed processing.

Sony a5000 also has a 20.1 Exmor ™ APS HD CMOS sensor which has extreme dynamic range, low noise, and incredible detail. You can even rack the ISO up to 16000 and still get crisp images.

It did not skimp on its video recording features too. It can record a full HD video in either 60i or 24p frames per second (woaah). It can record in either 60i/24p Blu-ray (TM) quality AVCHD (TM) format or in 1080/30p MP4 format. See, this would be perfect if you also want to start vlogging!

It has a pretty good battery life as it can take 420 shots per full charge cycle. That’s just enough for a day’s worth travel. If you’re a heavy camera user then that might not be sufficient. Better buy an extra battery!

And one of my favorite features as a millenial is its Wi-Fi capability! I can just easily transfer photos from the camera to a smartphone. We can easily upload it on all of our social media accounts! LOL

It comes with a 16-50mm f3.5-.6 lens but you can easily change that because it has interchangeable lens system.
